Mark Noll

Dr. Mark A. Noll is the Francis A. McAnaney Professor of History at the University of Notre Dame. He is the prolific progressive evangelical author of A History of Christianity in the United States and Canada (Eerdmans, 1992), America's God: From Jonathan Edwards to Abraham Lincoln (Oxford University Press, 2002), and co-author of Is the Reformation Over? An Evangelical Assessment of Contemporary Roman Catholicism (Baker Books, 2005). His book, The Scandal of the Evangelical Mind (Eerdmans, 1994) earned him a cover story in the popular periodical, Atlantic Monthly. He is a graduate of Wheaton College, Illinois (B.A), Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.A), and Vanderbilt University (Ph.D). He was a faculty member at Wheaton College, Illinois for 27 years. In 2005, he was named by Time magazine as one of the twenty-five most influential evangelicals in America.
