Young and Muslim in Post-9/11 America

The horrific images I witnessed on the morning of 9/11, sitting among a large circle of fellow students at Florida State University as planes crashed through one of our nation's greatest economic symbols, pierce my mind as if it just happened yesterday. I can still conjure to memory every moment of that chaotic day, every emotion that penetrated my being, and every thought that swam through my consciousness. Even now, four years later, there are no reasonable explanations, no data analyses that can be nicely charted into graphs, no words of comfort that can restore the naivety, innocence, and sense of security my generation lost that day.
