Azizah al-Hibri

Dr. Azizah al-Hibri teaches at the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. She is the founder and executive director of KARAMAH: Muslim Women Lawyers for Human Rights. A prolific writer and commentator, she is editor of Hypatia: a Journal of Feminist Philosophy and her recent publications include "Muslim Women's Rights in the Global Village: Opportunities and Challenges," in The Journal of Law and Religion (Fall 2001). She received her B.A. from the American University of Beirut and her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
