Brian McKenzie
Dr. Brian D. McKenzie is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Texas A&M University. His current research focuses on black civic and political participation, American public opinion, and religion and politics. He has published articles in a number of leading scholarly journals, and is co-author (with Fredrick C. Harris and Valeria Sinclair-Chapman) of Countervailing Forces in African-American Civic Activism, 1973-1994 (Cambridge University Press, 2006), which was awarded the 2007 American Political Science Association's Ralph J. Bunche Book Award and the 2006 W. E. B. DuBois Outstanding Book Award by the National Conference of Black Political Scientists.
