S. Abdallah Schleifer
S. Abdallah Schleifer is a Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. He is the former Washington and national bureau chief of Al Arabiya news channel, former NBC News Cairo Bureau Chief, professor emeritus at the American University in Cairo, and a former visiting scholar at St. Antony's College, Oxford. He is an adjunct scholar at the Middle East Institute in Washington, DC, Senior Fellow at the Royal Aal Al Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought in Amman, Jordan, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Center for the Study of Islam and Democracy in Washington, DC. He authored The Fall of Jerusalem (1972), an eyewitness account of the 1967 Arab-Israeli War.
