Andrea Bartoli
Dr. Andrea Bartoli is Director of the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University, where he is also the Drucie French Cumbie Chair of Conflict Analysis and Resolution. He is the Founding Director of Columbia University's Center for International Conflict Resolution (CICR), a Senior Research Scholar at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), and a Teaching Fellow at Georgetown University and the University of Siena.
Dr. Bartoli has been involved in many conflict resolution activities as a member of the Community of St. Egidio and has published books and articles on violence, migrations, and conflict resolution. He was co-editor of Somalia, Rwanda and Beyond: The Role of International Media in Wars and International Crisis (Geneva: Crosslines Communications, 1995). An anthropologist from Rome, Dr. Bartoli completed his Italian dottorato di ricerca (Ph.D. equivalent) at the University of Milan and his laurea (BA-MA equivalent) at the University of Rome.
