Carol Swain

Carol Swain is a political analyst and Professor of Political Science and Professor of Law at Vanderbilt University. She is the author of Debating Immigration (Cambridge University Press, 2007) and the highly acclaimed, Black Faces, Black Interests: The Representation of African Americans in Congress (Harvard University Press, 1993). She is a member of the Tennessee Advisory Committee to the U.S. Civil Rights Commission and the National Endowment for the Humanities. She received her Ph.D. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her MSL from Yale.
