Michael Driessen
Michael D. Driessen obtained his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA. His dissertation, "Religiously Friendly Democracy: Framing Political and Religious Identities in Catholic and Muslim Societies," explored the institutional role public religions have played in recent democratization processes in the Mediterranean. In 2011-2012, he will be writing a book on the subject as a post-doctoral fellow at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in Doha, Qatar, and will be teaching as an Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Affairs at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy afterwards.
